Brand new Solaris60 for charter in 2023. Designing future
Adding the Solaris 60 in our charter fleet is a qualitative step forward for Fastsailing.
Once again, it is an ex charter client who honors us with his trust in managing such a gem.

Aegean600 2022 edition. The experience
This year we sailed the Aegean600 with the Outremer4X and the Pogo50.
This race had everything: nice downwind till Santorini, strong gusts in the lee of Kassos, a dead calm night in the lee of Rodos, sporty upwind up the Dodekanese and a super fast reaching leg from Agathonisi back to the finish line in cape Sounio.
For the Outremer4X, it was the first time we pushed the boat so hard and we were really amazed: tacking upwind at 90 degrees sharp with 8-10kts boat speed, hurling downwind at 20kts with great stability, and all that in full comfort! We finished 3rd in the multihull category >24hrs ahead of an identical competitor.

The Pogo50 did the race with two Swedish families and we all admired their spirit! The two very experienced fathers told us: “A true adventure, gusts up to 49 knots, huge swells, tricky tactics around the islands and covering more or less the whole Aegean Sea in 86hrs. The Pogo behaved very well in the tough conditions. All in all we all enjoyed the race a lot! It deserves a higher international attention”

Delivering technical work under pressure. A FastSailing case
Some times our technical operations get tight. Here’s a tough case:
Friday July 29th 14:00. This ugly picture comes in our phones:
The horizontal pin at the back of the boom bended and reef no2 block moved violently forward causing a ~ 3x25cm cut on the aluminum boom of the Outremer 4X.
Within 28hrs: found a boom of slightly bigger size (many thanks Meltemi Yacht rigging), cut a ~60cm long piece in two symmetric parts, painted it black, removed fittings of old boom, attached the two reinforcements with multiple Monel rivets, put a new through going pin with a nut (so that it can never bend again), installed all fittings and lines back. Bomb proof.
Saturday July 30th 18:00. Boat was ready to sail again
