Current Marine 46. Setting the highest standards

The Current Marine 46 Ohana is a 6.5t light displacement (!) carbon reinforced performance catamaran with uper high tech construction:

• Vacuum infused with PVC / Epoxy composite
• S-glass for the outer skin at the lowest half of the hulls.
  • ~40% stronger and ~20% stiffer than E-glass.  
  • More impact resistant compared to carbon
• Carbon for the inner skin at the lowest half of the hulls and full carbon for the rest of the boat.  

Spreader-less & rotating carbon mast (!) with textile rigging. 

Wing boom, longeron, curved crossbeam, kick-up rudders (!) and retractable dagger boards, all carbon

Current Marine 46, keeps the high-level of comfort on a such a top performance package:

• 3 large double cabins + 2 bathrooms with electric wc
• fully equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer
• large shaded cockpit
• Lithium batteries , solar panels, air conditioning, heating, water maker
• 3.4m dinghy with 15hp outboard

Safety

The responsiveness and learning capability of the Madintec autopilot ensures highly effective steering which adds to safety as well. The more the boat sails under autopilot, the more efficient and safer it becomes.

Anti-capsize system with emergency sheet release system (OceanData – Upside-Up).
Kick-up rudders offer plenty of safety advantages:

• allow both rudders to be lifted up independently either in case of collision with a UFO (unidentified floating object)
• in case of a whale attack the crew can lift up the rudders completely
• for minor repairs the rudders lifted and even removed super easily

All standard safety equipment is foreseen, including EPIRB, liferaft, etc
